Poor Maisie Mouse

Maisie was 2 months old on Monday and so today she had her 2 month well baby check up. She weighs 12 lbs. 5 oz. and is 22 3/4 in. Those measurements put her in the 85% for weight and 55% for height; lets hope those numbers are going to reverse as she gets older! Poor little thing had no idea what was coming her way; it all started so innocently with a slug of delicious grape Tylenol and then a fruity flavored dose of the Rotavirus vaccine. Little did she know that her world was about to be rocked to the tune of 5 shots in her fat little thighs! Two on one side and three on the other - OUCH! Let me just say that she was less than impressed with our little jaunt out this morning; she has spent the rest of her day in a Tylenol induced coma.

Go Team Go!

Spring is upon us, which means so is T-Ball season. Last year Hunter played on the YMCA league but this year he is playing on the neighborhood league for the sheer convenience of the matter. The YMCA league was pure chaos to say the least; I'm sure the reason for this chaos was the fact that there was no designated "Team Mom" (I'm being facetious here), we just worked out the details amongst ourselves. Well when you are dealing with the "suburbia" league there is a designated "Team Mom"; there is even a section in the league handbook outlining the duties of the Team Mom - yes, I'm being serious! Hunter's coach sent out an email saying that nobody had volunteered to be the Team Mom so I foolishly stepped up to the plate, as did another mom, so our team has 2 team moms; aren't we special. Anyway, this other mom calls me at 5:30 yesterday while I was cooking dinner and preparing for the nightly ritual of baths, bed, etc. to say that she would like to "pop" over today before our first practice tonight so that we could discuss how we are going to handle all of our "duties". Did I mention that my house looked like a small bomb detonated in here? Honestly it is one thing if I know you and you see my house in a vile state, but if I have never met you give me a little more warning lady! So I got up before the sun with Scott this morning and frantically cleaned until she got here; the good part being that now my house is quite lovely! The real killer of my new found job is that I have to attend a "Team Mom" meeting on Saturday morning - again I am not joking! I just can't wait to see what goes on at this meeting; I'm sure it will be blogworthy! I guess all that matters is that Hunter is very excited about a new T-Ball season and thinks it's pretty cool that I am the Team Mom; guess I had better enjoy it before he is embarrassed to be seen with me which I'm sure is just a few short years away! Well I must be off as I have to create an Excel spreadsheet before practice - not joking this time either! Good god what have I gotten myself into?

Entering the 21st Century

Hunter tracking Santa on the NORAD site.

Maisie doing what she does best!

Alright, we are joining the 21st century and creating our very own blog! I don't expect that there will actually be all that much blogging going on, probably more picture posting than anything but we'll just see what happens! Now everyone can check in on us when they want and see just what is going on around this crazy house! This should definitely help out for picture sharing and emails since I am not necessarily very good at either on a one on one basis! Hope you will add us to your favorites and stop by for a visit every once in a while! Enjoy!
